• Anima/animus- the mirror image of our biological sex. The unconscious feminine side in males and the masculine side in females. Anima=male; Animus=female

• Shadow- the animal side of our personality, similar to the id in Freud.

• Self- provides sense of unity in experience. Ultimate aim of individuals to achieve a state of selfhood.
