United States Constitution of 1790:
The North and South came into conflict because of their different views.
Second Great Awakening of 1790
Eli Whitney Cotton Gin of 1794
The South needed more slaves so the conflict between the North and South grew stronger.
Haitian Revolt of 1791-1804
Vesey Revolt of 1802
Missouri threatened to join the Union making the conflicts between the North and South greater.
End of International Slave Trade 1808
Missouri Crisis of 1820
Missouri became a free state instead of a slave state like they were previously.
Nat Turner rebellion of 1831
American Mexican War of 1846-1848
Slavery increased in the South making the North upset.
Fugitive Slave Act of 1850
Uncle Toms Cabin of 1852
The South became upset because of the Abolitionist and the Union.
Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854
Dred Scott Case of 1857
Dred Scott was made a slave again which made the conflict between the North and South greater.
Harper's Ferry Raid or 1859
Election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860
Abraham Lincoln was against slavery which angered the South because he was now in "control" over them.
Attack on Fort Sumter 1861
Cotton Revolution of 1865-1903
This caused a rise in slavery and the need for more slaves.
Religious conflict.
Slaves in the United States started to protest.
The South started to lose slaves so they became more angry with the North.
Nat Turner led a slave rebellion which angered the South.
Abolitionist became upset because people from the North were allowed to come to the North and get run-away slaves.
The North became upset because they thought that this act was an attempt for the South to turn all states into slave states.
Slave Revolt
The Union attacked the South to try and end slavery.
