• The factories then process the wood into planks

• The factory that processed the wood then ships it to another factory.

• That factory processes the planks into furniture

• The factory then ships the finished furniture into a store

• The store then sells the finished piece of furniture to a consumer

• The consumer uses the piece of furniture until it is too worn down, or they don't want it anymore 

• The piece of furniture ends up in a landfill
