- What can affect the rate of photosynthesis?
- Ligtht intensity
- Light intensity can affect the rate of photosynthesis, when the light intesity increases
then so does the rate of photosynthesis. This can be tested by placing a light source a
set distance from a plant (e.g. Pond weed) and measure the amount of bubbles
produced in a minute and repeat this with the light source further away and measure
the bubbles again and the results should show a decrease in the bubbles produced.

concentration of carbon dioxide in the air. Even
if there is plenty of light, a plant cannot
photosynthesise if there is insufficient carbon
dioxide.

- A greenhouse is the ost common way to create the ideal
enviroment for plants to grow. A greenhouse helps trap in the
sun's heat, this is extremly benificial as heat tends to be the
biggest effecting factor the rate of photosynthesis.

plants with artificial light on a night
time to give the plants extra time to
photosynthesise
- More often then not, people use paraffin
heaters to produce more carbon dioxide so
then casrbon dioxide doesnt affect the
rate of photosynthesis as when paraffin is
burnt it releases carbon dioxide
