History of Copyright/Piracy Tv Campaigns

In the early 1990's copyright campaigns were at an all time high, as the piracy industry was just starting to boom. Campaigns were soon created for example the picture below is from the campaign: Beware of illegal video cassettes!
1. As piracy has grown more popular, campaigns have had to expand their platforms. For example, websites have been made especially for copright campaigns, facebook pages are crate and the use of cinema and TV adverts are still widely popular. Leaflets and posters are also used as well.
In 2000's, illegally downloading DVD's began to take the country by storm, growing very popular. Campaigns to try and combat this were also made: Don't Touch The Hot Stuff, You wouldn't steal a...., Never Know What and Knock of Nigel. The clips which the campaign produced were soon shown in cinema's and were regularly broadcasted as adverts on television.
1. The lastest movement for copright, is the campaign called; Moments Worth Paying for, which uses film trailers to help promote that paying for films is far better than downloading them illegal. Campaigns for copyright are frequently being created, to try and promote the negatives of piracy and help to slowly stop it.
As well as expanding platforms, campaigns are also being to use: same people, same slogan, same contact information, same company, same message/aim, interactive platforms, references to social media.
