                          1. Check suction
                          2. Business hours
                            1. toilet patient
                              1. consider work load, prioritise
                              2. Check
                                1. Name, DOB, URN, address (ID band and verbal confirmation)
                                  1. Blood bag
                                    1. Front
                                      1. expiry
                                        1. blood group
                                          1. Rh
                                          2. product i.e. packed cells
                                            1. volume
                                              1. pack number, batch number
                                              2. Back
                                                1. pt details
                                                  1. blood type (patent and pack)
                                                    1. batch number
                                                  2. Blood form again
                                                    1. viability of bag - clots, purple colour
                                                      1. Paper work
                                                        1. Prescription
                                                          1. pathology form
                                                          2. consent
                                                            1. 2 nurses

                                                                1. Prime line with saline
                                                                  1. monitor patient for adverse reactions
                                                                    1. 15 minutes - RN stays
                                                                      1. Obs as per policy and procedure
