  3. Made by electrons oscillated by electric fields in aerials

  5. Used for telecommunications
2. Microwaves

  3. Produced by magnetron, klystron oscillators, using electrons to set up oscillations in a cavity
  4. Detected by heating effect and electronic circuits
  5. Used for mobile phones, radar, microwave ovens
3. Infrared

  2. Frequency - 4x10^14 - 3x10^11
  3. Produced by the oscillation of molecules from all objects at any temp above absolute 0
  4. Detected by heating of skin, photographic film
  5. Used for heaters, night vision equipment, remote controls

  3. Produced from high-temp solids and gases, lasers
