  1. Monoclonal antibodies are antibodies that carry useful chemical markers or treatments. a set of monoclonal antibodies are identical because they are produced in large quantities from the same hybridoma cells
    1. B lymphocyte from mouse.
      1. Advantage: makes particular antibodies continuously.
        1. Disadvantage: B lymphocytes don't divide.
          1. HYBRIDOMA CELL
            1. Formed by FUSING a b lymphocyte and a cancer cell. this cell divides and produces antibodies that are all the same.
          2. cancer cell
            1. Advantage: divides continuously
              1. disadvantage: doesn't make antibodies.
