Moral Absolutism
1. Certain rules that everybody knows which are wrong or right
  1. There are universally valid moral principles
    1. Circumstances are NOT taken into account
      1. e.g Natural Law
Moral Relativism
1. There are no universally valid moral principles
  1. All principles and values are relative to a particular culture or age
    1. There isn't one true morality
    2. Circumstances are taken into account
    3. e.g. Secondary Precepts
  2. 'One man's terrorist is another nman's freedom fighter'
Cultural Relativism
1. Diversity Thesis
  1. because of the diversity across and within cultures there can be no one true morality
    1. Examples -
      1. Polygamy and monogamy
        Death penalty
