Card with a microchip and pin nimber

Used for composing and entering music into a computer system

Types of mouse

Wireless (uses bluetooth)
Optical (LED)
Laser (more sensitive)
Used to move a cursor around a screen and to select options and icons from menus

Cheaper to buy, but have very expensive running costs
Used to produce a hard copy of a document
Plotter
Produces diagrams by dotting pens on paper
Slow to print, but produce very large diagrams
Suitable for architects or designers
Monitor
Also called a visual display unit (VDU)
Displays graphics, text and videos on a screen
Picture quality depends on the number of pixels (resolution)
Speakers
Produce audio output from the device's sound card
