William Shakespeare Theater
- Theater was very different today from what it use to be. the audience were loud and expressed there views more frequently
- Individual character were booed or cheered and bad performance had the crowd hissing
and shouting in disapproval
- Eating and drinking during the play was popular and people sold oranges,apples and nuts . Beer and tobacco was
also avaliable
- Plays started at 2 o clock in winter and 3 o clock
in the summer
- plays lasted between 2 to 4 hours
- the plays were acted straight throught with no obvious breaks and no interval between acts
- It was illegal for women to act in plays so the parts of women were played by boys and young men
