Mass and weight
- Weight is not the same as mass. Mass is a measure of
how much something is in an object. Weight is a force
acting on something.
- Weight is measured in newtons, N and
Mass is measured in kilograms, kg
- weight = mass × gravitational field strength
- Earth's gravity is 9.8N or 10N
- If your mass is 70kg your weight on earth is 700N
