3. Use the same login details anywhere on the network

    1. High chance of failure
    2. Lots of collisions
    3. Slows down when more computers are added
  2. Advantages
    1. Cheap
2. Star
  1. Advantages
    1. low chance of failure
    2. No collisions (fast)
  2. Disadvantages
    1. Expensive
    2. If switch breaks the whole system goes down
3. Ring

IP Addresses
1. A unique value assigned to every computer on a network, used to identify it
  1. There are more computers on the internet than IP addresses that exist so unique ones are assigned to businesses and houses
  2. IP addresses range from 0.0.0.0. to 255.255.255.255. So there are 4,228,250,625 unique IP addresses
The Internet
1. The internet is a mesh network
2. There are multiple routes between nodes
3. It is impossible for the internet to crash as there is always another route
4. when exporting big chunks of data it is split into packets
