  1. What do the letters stand for?
    1. RAM - Random Access Memory
      1. ROM - Read Only Memory
      2. What type of memory is ROM?
        1. As ROM stands for Read Only Memory it implies that a programmer or user of the monniter can not change the instructions given/stored in the ROM. When power is lost the information is not lost/removed.
        2. What type of memory is RAM?
          1. It is a a type of memory that you can change and read what information is stored. Applications and programs use this memory for your settings etc. The information is temporary and when power is lost so is the information.
          2. How do they differ?
            1. RAM is volatile however ROM is not. RAM makes your computer faster when booting up your computer.
            2. What does volatile mean?
              1. Volatile means that the information can change quickly and unpredictdly for the worse.
              2. What is the difference between static RAM and dynamic RAM?
                1. Dynamic means the memory is refreshed constantly.
                  1. Static means that it will stay the same until the power is turned off.
