Laws Of Indices
  1. Law 1
    1. (a^m)(a^n) = a^(m+n)
      1. To multiply expressions with the same base, copy the base and add the indices.
      2. Law 2
        1. (a^m)/(a^n) = a^(m-n)
          1. To divide expressions with the same base, copy the base and subtract the indices.
          2. Law 3
            1. (a^m)^n = a^(mn)
              1. To raise an expression to the nth index, copy the base and multiply the indices.
              2. Law 4
                1. a^0 = 1
                  1. Any expression to the power of 0 is equal to 1
                  2. Law 5
                    1. (a/b)^n = (a^n)/(b^n)
                      1. The exponent of a quotient is equal to the quotient of the exponents
                      2. Law 6
                        1. (ab)^n = (a^n)(b^n)
                          1. The exponent of a product is equal to the product of the exponents
