    1. Movies like independence day, twister, Titanic men n black - people loved the SFX
      1. People view CG as visually better/ more exciting

    1. Before VFX popular, great divide between kids and mainstream
      1. During 90's kids and parents went to movies like Titanic and Jurassic Park
        Believability provided something for everyone.

    1. Studios thought they could get more viewers by doing more adult themes.
      1. Instead of writing stories to appeal to the kid in us, they wrote adults stories and hoped kids would like it too.
        After The Lion King, everyone tried to follow that mold and create large epic musicals. Stories became overworked by creatives.
