  1. Dna - Making Proteins
    1. Dna molecules contain a genetic code containing instructions for how to make all the proteins in your body.
      1. A-T , G-C
      2. Dna is a double helix of Paired bases
        1. Dna controls the production of proteins in a cell
          1. Cells make proteins by joining amino acids together
          2. Proteins are made by ribosomes in the cell cytoplasm
          3. Cell Division
            1. Mitosis
              1. New cells are needed for growth and repair
                1. First the cell grows and duplicates its contents
                  1. Then it splits into two by Mitosis
                2. Meiosis
                  1. Forms sperm or egg cells called Gametes
                    1. Produces new cells that only have half the original number of chromosomes
