    Anotações:

    • To seperate an undissolved solid from a mixture of the solid and a liquid/solution. E.g. Sand from a mixture of sand and water
    1. Evaporation

      Anotações:

      • To seperate a dissolved solid from a solution when the solid has similiar solubilities in hot and cold solvent. E.g. Sodium chloride from a mixture os sodiu chloride and water
      1. Crystallisation

        Anotações:

        • To seperate a dissolved solid from a solution when the solid is much more soluble in hot solvent than cold. E.g. copper (ll) sulfate from a solution of copper (ll) sulfate in water
        1. Simple distallation

          Anotações:

          • To seperate a liquid from a solution. E.g. water from sodium chloride and water
          1. Fractional distallation

            Anotações:

            • To seperate two or more liquid that are mscible with one another. E.g. ethanol and water from a mixture of them both
