        Anotações:

        • Originally named Abram, was born in about 2000 BCE in Mesopotamia (Ur). Abraham's relationship with God become the foundation of the Jewish faith.

            Anotações:

            • Had covenants with the God God said to him: "Leave your own country and your father's house, and go to a country that I will show you." The land happen the be Canaan. That was said to Abraham when he was about 75 years old.  Then again, when Abraham was 99 years old, God said to him, "I will make a covenant between myself and you."  People believed that Abraham can really communicate with God, so they followed Abraham.  According to the Torah, to mark the covenant with God, Abraham got his name, Abraham. Since his original name is Abram.

              • Before Abraham moves to the "land" that God is going to point to, Abraham married Sarai or Sarah (Sarah is the name that God gave her). A year later, Sarah gave birth to Issac. As Isaac's mother, Sarah was the ancestress of the Jewish people.
