Mise-en scene analysis of
Paranormal activity.
- In certain scenes you can see the intensity of the changing
of lighting to dull, to then extremely dark, to create
maximum effect throughout the scenes for the audience.
- Paranormal activity is a reliable source to do with a horror
film as the shadows they keep showing are symbols of
horror and create more of a sense of darkness and
scariness through all scenes.
- In one of the scenes in paranormal activity, a woman is wearing a white
top, and even though white stereotypically connote purity, the way she
is standing conveys a threatening manner and promotes the image of
horror even more.
- In another one of the scenes in this film, it
shows in a scene a time of 12.04am, and at
this time a woman is hovering over a man
while he is asleep, this coveys an
uncomfortable and a sinister atmosphere
which is good for the audience as it
creates much effect.
