          1. More people available for labour market
            1. Having to pay out pensions longer
              1. Strain on Health and social care services
                1. Some older people have disposable income because they have paid off their mortgages
                  1. Boosts economy
                  2. Some physically fit older people volunteer and 'give back' to society
                    1. If the pension age isn't increased and people have the option to retire, this places a strain on our shrinking adult workforce
                      1. Grown up children end up having to "bridge the gap" and care for their parents to make up for the lack of services
