'Paper thinned by age' - Wears away, like skin, built in layers
'Marks' 'Roads' - Metaphor, blemishes on skin, map
'Smoothed' 'Stroked' - Verbs, delicacy, fragility, looked over by many people
'Names and histories' - All recorded on paper
'Fine slips form grocery shops' - Receipts, everything's recorded
'Paper' - Noun, first word, thins, versatile
'Well-used books' - Paper's important, knowledge
'Alter' - Verb, powerful
'How easily they fall away on a sigh' - Temporary, lost, sad how human life is fragile
'Fly our lives like paper kites' - Simile, controls our lives, money, freedom, fragile
'Koran' - Religion, been around for years, lots of pages/layers
'Drift' 'Shift' - Verb, light, blown apart, taken away
'Transparent' - Adjective, can be seen through
'Light shine' - Allows things to be seen
