2nd year = Noviciate (Newbie!) AKA year in desert - Isolation
3rd year = temporary vows, for 3 years, like an engagement
3 vows - poverty, chastity, obedience
Then you do final vows AKA evangelical councils
Charisms = Apostolic (giving your service) and Contemplative (think and pray a lot)
