Countable A countable noun can be singular or plural I eat a banana every day I like bananas Examples when to use a/an Ann was singing a song It was an accident Can I have a 10 Euro note?
Uncountable An uncountable noun has only one form. Uncountable nouns are things we cannot count Examples of uncountable nouns There's sand in my shoe Ann was listening to music I have no water You can not say: I want a rice I listen to a music because you can't count rice (realistically) or music.
