The picture side is the engine of the planes. Actually, there are 2 types of engine - one is the gas turbine and electric turbine. The air first gets sucked by the main fan in the front. And there will be many fans behind the main big fan. This many fans pushes the air in high pressure. Thus, making more force. The last part of the turbine is the part which burns with fuel in the gas turbine. This makes more thrust as compared to the force if produced by the fans without the burning of fuel.
This topic is about how does the plane work
Now we are going to talk about the aerodynamics of the plane
The image you are seeing in the right is the after-burners which is located in the back of the fighter plane and not for the normal commercial planes These are not used in the commercial planes because this produces more thrust than the turbine located in the wing of the commercial one does.After-burners has also fan which pushes the burning fuel with more pressure than the gas turbine.
Actually the aerodynamics of the plane is of 4 types. Thrust Drag Lift Weight The thrust is we learned before the Engine and the After-burners for the military jet. The drag is the small wing behind, which helps to ascend and desend and to control the speed limit of planes Lift is to attack i.e ascend the plane. And the weight all we know the gravity force. Because of the weight the aeroplanes or military jets cannot move upward above a specific limit. If the weight is more than the percent of lift, the plane cannot take-off from the runway. And in the other hand if the drag is more than the thrust, the plane cannot fly in greater speed. So, most of the planes have - little bit percent of lift more than the weight. And also a bit of thrust higher than the percent of drag.Wings :-
As the air moves upward the wing . [The grey object above in the picture is the side-view of a wing and the red lines are the wind flowing.] The air moves down with the speed of it and the pull of gravity. But the air below gets heated up with the turbine and always moves upward. Thus the air speed dashes with the wing reduces its speed. If the wing lifts up, of course the wind moving upward will gain more speed and the wing moving low decrease its speed more.
