Solving Quadratic EquationsExampleSolve the Following Quadratic Equation3x2 – 8x + 2 = 0  {Remember the Standard Quadratic Formula : ax2 + bx + c = 0 }  Where   A = 3 B = -8 C = 2   { The Quadratic Formula}      -b {+-} (b2-4ac)------------------------------------                 2a   Therefore the solutions would be  8{+-} (-82-4(3x2))-----------------------------------            2(3)   X = 2.39 , 0.28

We could however solve this graphically 3x2 – 8x + 2 = 0                                                                                                 [Make y the Subject] 3x2 – 8x + 2 = y                                                                                                 [Create Table Of Values]XY-353-230-113021-32-235 The Intersection Points are the two solutions.
