Modal auxiliary verbs can express:
ability, obligation, permission, request, probability or how certain a situation is
Must= Logically probable= He MUST be exhausted. He hasn´t slept for 24 hours!
Can't= Logically improbable= She can't have ten-year-old daughter! She's only 24!
*Couldn't RARELY is used in this context.
Might not= I MIGHT NOT to be able to come tonight.
May not= They MAY NOT know where we are.

ASKING ABOUT POSIBILITIES.

Must/can't/may/might/could + have + pp
Must+have+pp= He MUST HAVE BEEN exhausted
