SLP 151 - Servant Leadership

The term lead means to guide or conduct by holding the hand.

Leading is showing the way by directing others to go before you.

There are four elements that are common to all leadership concepts, they are: (1) leadership is a process; (2) leadership involves influence; (3) leadership occurs within a group context; and (4) leadership involves goal attainment.

Saul is an example of a leader picked by his traits.

David is an example of a leaders that has been formed by a process.

In the trait approach to leadership we see 5 things: (1) intelligence; (2) self-confidence; (3) determination; (4) integrity; and (5) sociability.
