- Origin = lateral tibial condyle, proximal 2/3 anterolateral surface of tibia & interrosseous membrane. Insertion = Base of 5th metatarsal & medial cuneiform.

- Origin = posterior shaft of tibia, posterior shaft of fibula & interosseus membrane. Insertion = tuberosity of the navicular, all 3 cuneiforms, bases of the 2nd-4th metatarsals, cuboid and sustenaculum tail

- Origin = head of fibula & proximal 2/3rds of shaft of fibula. Insertion = Base of 1st metatarsal & medial cuneiform.

- Origin = distal 2/3rd lateral fibula shaft. Insertion = Base of 5th metatarsal.

- Origin = Medial & lateral femoral condyles (2 heads). Insertion = Calcaneus by way of the Achilles tendon.

- Origin = Upper shaft of fibula & upper shaft of tibia (soleal line). Insertion = Calcaenus via the Achilles tendon.

- Origin = supracondylar ridge of femur. Insertion = Medial to the Achilles tendon which merges with the Achilles.

- Origin = Medial aspect of shaft of fibula & interosseous membrane. Insertion = proximal and distal phalanx of hallux (at the base of).

. Origin = lateral condyle of tibia, upper anterior shaft of fibula and interosseous membrane. Insertion = Dorsal surface of the bases of the middle and distal phalanxes of the 2nd - 5th rays (the extensor expansion)

- Origin = inferior 2/3rds of the posterior shaft of the fibula. Insertion = Distal phalanx of hallux (base of).

- Origin = Posteror shaft of tibia. Insertion = Plantar surface of the bases of the 2nd-5th distal phalanges.

- Origin = distal 1/3 of anterior fibula shaft. Insertion = Base of 5th metatarsal.

- Origin = Long head (ischial tuberosity) & short head (shaft of femur). Insertion = Head of fibula.

- Origin = ischial tuberosity. Insertion = medial aspect of tibia (pes anserine).

- Origin = Ischial tuberosity. Insertion = Meidal tibial condyle (forms the oblique popliteal ligament).

- Origin = Inferior ramus of pubis, ramus of ischium and pubic symphysis. Insertion = Upper part of shaft of tibia on medial surface.

- Origin = ASIS. Insertion = upper medial surface of tibia.

- Origin = lateral femoral condyle, arcuate popliteal ligament, lateral meniscus & knee joint capsule. Insertion - posterior shaft of tibia.

- Origin - AIIS (straight head) and Ilium above acetabulum (reflected head). Insertion = Tibial tuberosity via the patella tendon.

- Origin = Shaft of femur (anterior lateral aspect). Insertion = Tibial tuberosity via the patella tendon.

- Origin = shaft of femur (upper linea aspera), Greater trochanter. Insertion = Tibial tuberosity via patella tendon.

- Origin = shaft of femur (upper linea aspera on medial aspect), Intertrochanteric line. Insertion = Tibial tuberosity via the patella tendon.

- Origin = Iliac fossa & AIIS, Insertion = Lesser trochanter.

- Origin = 12th thoracic body (transverse processes), intervertebral discs of lumbar vertebrae 1-5. Insertion = lesser trochanter.

- Origin = ASIS & anterior iliac crest, Insertion = Iliotibial band.

- Origin = Pubic bone (pecten pubis). Insertion = Pectineal line (posterior shaft of femur just inferior to the lesser trochanter).

- Origin = outer surface of ilium, sacrum, coccyx, sacrotuberous ligament. Insertion = 75% iliotibial band, 25% gluteal tuberosity of the femur.

= Origin = outer surface of ilium (posterior). Insertion = greater trochanter.

- Origin = outer surface of ilium (posterior below medius)

- Origin = body of pubis (beneath pubic tubercle). Insertion = Posterior surface of shaft of femur (at linea aspera).

- Origin = inferior ramus of pubis, ramus of ischium and ischial tuberosity. Insertion = posterior shaft of femur, near linea aspera and adductor tubercle.

- Origin = inferior ramus and body of pubis. Insertion = Posterior surface of shaft of femur at linea aspera (top 1/3).

- Origin = pelvic surface of sacrum. Insertion = medial aspect of greater trochanter.

- Origin = lateral aspect of ischial tuberosity. Insertion = quadrate line under greater trochanter.

- origin = ischial spine. Insertion = medial aspect of greater trochanter.

= Origin = obturator foramen/obturator membrane (external). Insertion = Trochanteric fossa (under superior lip of greater trochanter on anterior femur.

- Origin = obturator foramen/membrane (internal). Insertion = Medial surface of greater trochanter.
