Whether the data needs to be moved from one place to another such as from home to school.
How long the storage media can reasonably be expected to last.
What are external storage devices?
They are connected to the computer with a cable plugged into a suitable interface such as an USB port.
They are wireless from the computer
They are included in the computer.
