The most significant rebellion of the year took place in ( Wexford, Donegal, Cork ). It started in ( Boulavogue, Gorey, Ferns ) in ( May 1798, January 1799 ) and was led by ( Father John Murphy, Father Ted Grilly, Father Jack Hackett ). After capturing ( Enniscorthy, Dublin, Bray ) they set up their base at ( Vinegar Hill, Mustard Hill, Cider Hill ) and after freeing prisoners held in ( Wexford Town, Arklow, Bray ) they appointed ( Bagenal Harvey, King George III, George Washington ) to be the new leader. However they were defeated at the battle of ( New Ross, New Brunswich, New York ) and forced to retreat. They were eventually trapped and outgunned on ( Vinegar Hill, Mustard Hill, Cider Hill ) on ( 21st June 1798, 21st June 1799 ) and defeated by ( General Lake's, General River's, General Pond's ) army.
