The higher levels of EDA are associated with ❌ alertness and effort when individuals are involved in the acquisition of ❌ materials. This same process is implicated in respect to SCL in short-term memory tasks. Moreover, threat-related stimuli have been found to produce larger numbers of SCRs, higher anxiety, and ❌ recall of the stimuli for phobic individuals compared to nonphobics.
