Water exists in three states:

- when water from oceans, seas, and lakes change into water vapour due to the heat of the sun

- when water vapour is released from the leaves of plants also due to the heat of the sun

- when water vapour turns into liquid form of tiny droplets high up in the cool portion of the atmosphere, forming clouds

- when clouds get heavy with too much water droplets that the cloud could no longer hold together

- when water falls back to Earth as precipitation it may fall back in the oceans lakes or Rivers or it may end up on land

- when ice and snow change into liquid form due to heat from the Sun
