Age of Exploration (Part 3) Christopher Columbus

Christopher Columbus gained experience in his youth sailing in the Mediterranean Sea Pacific Ocean( Mediterranean Sea, Pacific Ocean ). He was convinced that by sailing West East( West, East ) he could find an alternative route to India Russia( India, Russia ). He looked for sponsorship from King John of Portugal Portumna( Portugal, Portumna ). He then looked for sponsorship from King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain Italy( Spain, Italy ). After 7 years months( years, months ) he convinced them after they finished their war with the Moors O Connors( Moors, O Connors ).

Columbus set sail from Palos Paris( Palos, Paris ) on 3rd August 1492 1592( 1492, 1592 ). Columbus regularly lied about how far they had sailed so the sailors wouldn't lose courage and start a mutiny mounty( mutiny, mounty ). After just over 2 months they spotted land on 12th October 1492 12th December 1492( 12th October 1492, 12th December 1492 ).

Columbus went on 3 13( 3, 13 ) more voyages to the New World Old World( New World, Old World ) that he had discovered. He was appointed Governor of The New World Old World( New World, Old World ) but was arrested for supposed cruelty excessive kindness( cruelty, excessive kindness ) to the natives. He was brought back to Spain in chains and died in 1506 1606( 1506, 1606 ).
