Age of Exploration (Part 2) Explorers of Portugal

Prince Henry Harvey( Henry, Harvey ) never actually went on any voyages of exploration but funded many expeditions expositions( expeditions, expositions ). Henry funded the first trip to successfully pass the Cape of Bojador Cape of Dublin( Cape of Bojador, Cape of Dublin ) on the east coast of Africa Australia( Africa, Australia ) in 1434 1789( 1434, 1789 ). By 1441 1789( 1441, 1789 ) the first gold and slaves were being shipped back to Portugal Portumna( Portugal, Portumna ).

In 1487 875( 1487, 875 ) King John II of Portugal sent Bartolomeu Dias Bartolomeu Simpson( Bartolomeu Dias, Bartolomeu Simpson ) to reach the bottom of Africa Australia( Africa, Australia ). When Dias reached the bottom he named it the Cape of Storms Cape of Superman( Cape of Storms, Cape of Superman ). Upon returning with news to King John II King Ferdinand( King John II, King Ferdinand ) they renamed it the Cape of Good Hope Cape of Bad Hope( Cape of Good Hope, Cape of Bad Hope ) as John now believed that he had a route to India Russia( India, Russia ) that would make Portugal very rich.
