This is the plot of A Christmas Carol: Ebenezer Scrooge is a tight, selfish and unfriendly old man. On Christmas Eve, he receives a visit: it is the ghost of his old business partner, Jacob Marley. The ghost tells him two more ghosts will visit him on two consecutive nights: the Ghosts of Christmas Past and Christmas Present. These ghosts show Scrooge how his mean behaviour affects those around him. At the end of the story he discovers that there is still time for him to change and he transforms into a generous and kind human being.
