The Parables of Jesus - Exercise 2

Jesus spoke to the people in fables to teach them valuable lessons that will help them reach the Kingdom of God.

The gospel of Luke contains the most number of parables in comparison to the other gospels.

We can read the parables of Jesus in all of the gospels except for the one written by Mark.

In the Parable of the Tenants, Jesus teaches us to develop and use the gifts that God has given us in serving others.

In the Parable of the Rich Fool, we are reminded to share our blessings with others and put God at the center of our lives.

We can live out the lesson we have learned from the Parable entitled “Conduct of Invited Guests and Hosts” by having a humble heart so that we may have our place in God’s kingdom.

The kingdom of heaven is described in the Parable of the Mustard Seed as having a small beginning but will be made known to all through its power and greatness.

In the Parable of the Sower, the seed that fell on rocky ground produced fruit, a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold.

A parable about a father who celebrated upon the return of his son.

A parable that tells us to be prepared for the return of Jesus Christ.

A parable that teaches us who our neighbors are and how they should be treated.

A parable that tells us a story about a landowner who paid all his laborers the same amount of money after a day’s work in his vineyard.

A parable about a landowner who leased his vineyard to some people and these people mistreated the servants who were sent by the owner to collect the produce that belongs to him.

What can we do to show that we are applying in our lives the lesson we have learned from the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant?

Based on the Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus, why is it important for us to show compassion to those in need of our help?
