    Social Media and Teens
    By Madison Rowe

Slide 2

For teens today, social media is a big thing. About 95% have access to a smartphone or a computer. 45% say they are online almost constantly. Use of internet is constant and kids will play any kind of video game, whether it's good or bad. Facebook is not as popular anymore and the only ones who use it are teens from lower income. The social media they are on are Instagram and Snapchat. Facebook is mostly out of the graces of teens.

Slide 3

Social media makes you have many problems like depression, anxiety, loneliness, lack of sleep, inadequacy, jealousy, guilt, eating disorders, and lots of other negative things. Teens also get addicted and will sit for hours on end. Social Media opens up the chances of you getting bullied and more mean things. Cyberbullying is the most common bullying when involved with social media. You don't see it as much any more and you find a lot more hate speeches.

Slide 4

Social Media is all that teens really care about. They don't play or hang out face to face with their friends as much as they used to. They won't tell people because they do so much online they don't really know what to say when they are face to face with someone. There isn't very much teens hanging out anymore. Instead they are spend more time on their phones and don't go outside and get the exer

Slide 5

Social Media can effect how you act and who you hang out with. If you are so popular on social media you will most likely be part of the popular teen group at school. If you text people a certain way you will most likely talk like that at school and everywhere else. Social Media effects how you act to people who aren't in the same social media, or social group or who are in the group with you. As social media effects our lives we have to find a way to balance it with everything else going on in our lives.

Slide 6

Life is short. With phones they take up most of your life with lies and other dangerous things. You won't be able to see life for what it is. With social media being a controlling figure in the lives of teens they don't go and see the world. They go and see other people out in the world and feel depressed and just want to sit there more. Or they go to show off not to have fun or really live. As we go through life there are the people who enjoy life and live it to the fullest and those who spend their days on their phones and electronics.
