    impurity & compromise are cousins!

Slide 6

    Association
•Description of the issue1 Corinthians 5:7,8; Ephesians 5:11; 2 Corinthians 6:14; Revelation 2:14,20;•How is this applied to the real world today? Shiva is lord of Dance (Nataraja). This is a subtle way to bring sexual immorality and idolatry into the body. This is no different from the false teachings in Revelation 2.

Slide 7

    Fellowship
•Description of the issue Psalm 1:1; Ephesians 5:12; Exodus 23:2; Exodus 34:12; • •How is this applied to the real world today? The conversation encouraged on some talk shows, reality TV and call in programs are often subjective, trivial, unsavory and unbalanced. Those who subscribe to these types of programs can be driven by opinion, strong emotion and faulty thinking.

Slide 8

    Interest
•Description of the issue Revelation 2:24; James 1:14; Genesis 2:17; • •How is this applied to the real world today? Charlie game. A true story: 3 night shift nurses decided to play the Charlie game while on duty.  A few nights later on the night shift a dispute arose between them resulting in 2 of them walking off the job. If you choose to make contact with demons, be prepared to have your life disrupted in the short-term and ruined in the long-term. There are always consequences whether you connect the dots or not.

Slide 9

TV programs, advertisements and movies can be a key source of impurity. It only takes a single slide with an idolatry, witchcraft or sexual image among thousands of slides in a movie to expose the viewer to the stimulus needed to fall into  a specific sin consistent with the image seen.  The brain always registers these impure images even if the consciousness does not. You will know such an image exists only if your device can slow down slides or it accidentally sticks at the right moment. Even the most harmless of shows carry at least one of these impure slides. If you were able to examine the surrounding slides you would question why this one slide was inserted since it adds nothing to the storyline. This single slide seems to be the odd one out but from a spiritual perspective its presence always causes the viewer to sin in specific, predictable ways.
    Food for thought

Slide 10

    Investment
•Description of the issue James 3:15,16; 1 Timothy 6:20,21; • •How is this applied to the real world today? Every one or thing God approves has been tested with fire. This includes the Word of God (Psalm 18:30). Many songs classified as Christian are simply ungodly babblings. When tested they either came from a limited, unbalanced view of Scripture (though there is enough Scripture to fool the unlearned) or were composed under the direction of a spirit other than the Holy Spirit. While the Spirit of God gives life these songs make the hearers feel good temporarily. These songs lack the life giving property and cannot transform people or situations.
