''Prayers for Bobby'' is a a film about the acceptance of the LGTB (lesbians, gays, transgender and bisexuals) community in the society.It is based on the true story that was happened in 1980s, when Bobby Griffith, a young gay man who killed himself of due to his mother's homophobia.

His family come to accept Bobby's homosexuality, but his mother believes God can cure him. Desperate, Bobby run away to his home and come to his cousin's home.
He meet his boyfriend in a gay bar, but, later, Bobby finds his boyfriend with other boy.Each time more depressive and hurt for the prejudices, Bobby jump from a bridge.

I have choosen this film because I really feel that it reflect the gays people's feeling when the homophobia is present. The damage generated by the homophofia is real, and it makes the people fell unsafe, and it can generate tragedies, as much as psychologicals or physicals. The ignorance can be really destructive.
