Skimming and Scaning
1- When we want to call someone and we do not have their number Phone, we look in the directory. However, we do not want to have a General directory idea; We want specific information. We follow the management system used precisely to facilitate the search for specific information (in this case, order alphabetical) without interest the remaining information. 2- When we enter a restaurant and the waiter gives us the menu, we may not know exactly what we want to eat. We look at the menu items to see what it contains and what we might want. This is Skimming.
3- The scanning strategy, sometimes called in Spanish "specific information search", is put into practice when the information that is being searched is known and the global information of the text is not needed. 4- It is a fast and global reading whose purpose is to roughly identify the.
