I [blank_start]got[blank_end] to the hotel at 6 a.m. I [blank_start]checked[blank_end] that Sheila [blank_start]hadn't returned[blank_end] from the nightclub and went up to her room.

As I [blank_start]was going[blank_end] upstairs, I [blank_start]heard[blank_end] someone else going to the desk. I [blank_start]wondered[blank_end] if someone [blank_start]had followed[blank_end] me to the hotel. I [blank_start]waited[blank_end] to see who it [blank_start]was[blank_end], but after a few words with the clerk, they just [blank_start]left[blank_end] again.

When I [blank_start]was[blank_end] sure they [blank_start]had gone[blank_end], I [blank_start]slipped[blank_end] into Sheila's room. As she [blank_start]wasn't[blank_end] there, I [blank_start]had[blank_end] plenty of time to prepare.

When Sheila [blank_start]came[blank_end] in, I [blank_start]was waiting[blank_end] for her.

She [blank_start]didn't look[blank_end] surprised when she [blank_start]saw[blank_end] me. Someone [blank_start]had told[blank_end] her to expect me.

She [blank_start]gave[blank_end] me a drink. I [blank_start]drank[blank_end] it. I [blank_start]felt[blank_end] a pain in my stomach and [blank_start]fell[blank_end] on the floor.

'Now you'll never tell anyone that I [blank_start]killed[blank_end] Floosie Moore,' she [blank_start]said[blank_end]. But it [blank_start]wasn't[blank_end] important; she [blank_start]had confessed[blank_end] and I [blank_start]had hidden[blank_end] microphones all over the room.
