The importance of the SAT for millions of students is immense, but that needn't hinder their performance as long as they are well prepared for what lies ahead.Taking the SAT Test is required for freshman entry to many universities in the United States. The SAT tests the skills that students learn in school. It is always important to remember that it is not merely a student's SAT score that will get them into college but their High School grades too. The SAT is designed to assess students in the following areas:  Critical reading – This section includes reading passages and sentence completion. Writing – This section includes a short essay and multiple-choice questions on identifying errors and improving grammar and usage. Mathematics – This section includes questions on arithmetic operations, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability.

The SAT will examine students' writing skills in order to assess their suitability for college requirements.The critical reading sections on the SAT test are designed to test students' ability to read and understand written English. This will ensure that they are at a level needed to take a university course. There are two types of questions you will have to overcome:Sentence CompletionReading Comprehension 

Math

The math exams aims to analyze students' problem-solving skills in order to get some understanding on how they think and approach difficult technical tasks.The test is 70 minutes long with two 25 minute sections and one 20 minute section. There are 54 questions in total with 44 of them being multiple choice and 10 response questions. The test covers basic math skills that are typical for a student at the end of a junior year so its time to get familiar.

Practice by testing

As you probably already know, the SAT is a time-limited exam with a duration of 3 hours and 45 minutes. Sometimes the time constraints in an exam situation can adversely affect a student's performance. However, you can help get them used to the pressure by getting them to take practice tests.Create timed quizzes on GoConqr and see how well they do. The more practice they get, the more their performance will improve as they get used to working to time restrictions.
