    Variations of the English Language
The English Language shows some variations between countries. As we have seen previously, the English language, being culturally rich for receiving the influence of several countries that established contact with England, reveals several linguistic variations. There variations can be essentially: Social - In English, we can find two types of English:  Standard English –It is spoken mainly by the upper classes in London. *Cockney English– It is the type of English traditionally used by the lower classes of London.    - Regional – The English language has several dialects resulting from the historic evolution and the different lifestyles of each region. - Dialects that exist inside the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.   -   International variations outside the U.K: it comes as a result of the British colonization in which American English plays a great role, followed by Australian English, Canadian English, etc.
In the following link you will be able to find some examples of the variations between British and American English: https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/usage/british-and-american-terms * The “Pidgin English”: This was another important regional variation, that is, a mixture of English with Chinese that was considered the language of sailors and merchants.         If you want to know more about this matter, you may consult the following article about the social and regional variations of the English language. https://socialscienceresearch.org/index.php/GJHSS/article/viewFile/1633/1574 Fonte: Global Journal of Human- social Science
