    State Government
    There are six state governments In Australia, plus two for the territories (each have one) Each government has a parliament and parliament house, located in their capital city This is where laws are made regarding state/territory matters Definitions for state/territory governments: The Governor is the representative of the Queen The Premier is the leader of the state government (In WA it's Mark McGowan) Australian Political systems: Australia has different political system for different needs There are local, state and federal Australian parliaments  You can see the roles of these systems in the picture on the right

    State Parliament- What is it made up of?
    There are two houses of parliament for the  state government This excludes the territories and Queensland The lower house is the Legislative assembly They provide administration for daily affairs This includes work on main roads and environmental protection   
    The upper house is the Legislative council These people monitor and review the work of the assembly
