| Consider costs and budget | Volunteer development events require a budget. If money is tight, it may be an option to create a volunteer fund (money raised by volunteers to fund special events, training courses, travels). "Fundraising" activities can even be a good social development opportunity for your volunteers while raising money for other events! |
| Coordinate with your national organisation and international training opportunities | It is always important to stay in touch with your national organisation as they may be able to offer support both to you as a volunteer leaders and to your volunteers through national training opportunities. It is also a good idea to stay up-to-date with the international training courses, for example offered by the European umbrella organisation EEE-YFU. |
