THE CYCLE LIFE OF A FROG
- When the tadpole hatches from the egg, it has no legs. It has a
long tail and gills so that it can breathe in the water.
- First, tadpoles grow two back legs.
- As it grows bigger, the tail becomes shorter, and four
small legs begin to grow. Lungs grow inside the body
of the young frog.
- Frogs are amphibians. Adult frogs have smooth skin and
four legs. They breathe air through their lungs and are
oviparous.
- Finally, the young frog becomes an
adult and leaves the water.
- To reproduce, adult frogs lay eggs
in water.
