Zusammenfassung der Ressource
3 Factors which are
important in creating a
play environment
within an early
education and childcare
- curriculum for excellance
- adult should be aware of where the child is developmentally
- adult should know what progress the child has made
- should know what they have already
achieved so that they can help and
encourage the child to achieve the next step
- there should be plans set in place which meet the learning, play, social and emotional needs of each child
- child'd development could be delayed if they are learning through a
curriculum below their level of development and leaning needs
- children's interests
- children should be involved in planning what they are going to be learning
- children need to be
interested in what
they are learning
otherwise they will
get bored and learn
nothing
- children are much more likely to
learn if they are learning about
something they are interested in
- children enjoy being included in planning
- adult should be aware of child's interests so that they can plan around what they enjoy
- being aware of the child's interests means that they can be provided with things that are centred around their interest
- e.g. toys, books and stories, picture books, puppets, role - play, the child could be involved in creating a display
- child could draw or paint pictures of their interests
- monkeys, dinosaurs, sharks etc.
- resourcing
- must be aware of what resources will be
needed in areas of the environment or for
activities
- without the resources needed the child may not be able to fully enjoy their play experience
- must be aware of the setting's budget
- going over the budget could mean that
the setting is left without enough
money to provide other resources for
the child's play environment
