School Readiness in other countries outside the UK: Poland

1. the framework that is used in early years education and primary school is called the Core Curriculum
   1. Private schools do not follow the national curriculum that is used in public schools. There for they do not have a restriction of what they are teaching.

1. What age do children start school/ formal education
   1. Children start compulsory education at the age of 3 - 6 years. this is the children's pre-school education. Primary education starts at the age of 7 years, this is when they start grade 0.
      1. "As from 2011, kindergarten (ISCED 0) is compulsory from the age of 5. The age of starting primary education (ISCED 0) is being lowered from 7 to 6 between 2009 and 2014; from 1 September 2014 it will be compulsory from age 6"
