Zusammenfassung der Ressource
Force In Motion.
- Everything that moves needs a force to get it moving
- Force and gravity can increase your speed and acceleration
- Gravity pulls objects towards each other, and it keeps us on earth
- A moving object needs a force to change it's direction, slow it down, or make it stop
- A force is any push or pull of an object. Anything that falls depends on a force called gravity
- Friction happens when two surfaces rub against each other. On earth gravity and friction work together to slow things down and make them stop
- Inertia - An object at rest tends to stay at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion unless a powerful force stops it. A still object needs a force to get it moving
- The amount of acceleration that a force can produce depends on the mass of the object
- Mass is the amount of matter in an object.
- Every action involves a pair of forces. An action's force creates a reaction of equal force in the opposite direction
- Centripetal Force - a force that acts on a body moving in a circular path and is directed toward the
center around which the body is moving.
- Balanced forces acting opposite direction cancel each other
- More force is needed to change the motion of an object
